Develop a mobile task management app that helps users organise everyday activities without the complexity commonly found in feature-heavy productivity tools.

Many productivity applications gradually become overloaded with features that average users rarely need. Complex project structures, extensive configuration options, and crowded interfaces often create friction instead of improving productivity.

There was a need for a solution that would preserve the essential functionality of task management while remaining fast, intuitive, and easy to use on a daily basis.

Solution

We developed TasksLite, a mobile productivity app built around the principles of digital minimalism and focused user experience.

The application enables users to quickly create and organise tasks, mark completed activities, and monitor their daily progress through a clean and distraction-free interface. Users can personalise the experience through different themes and colour schemes, including full support for both light and dark modes.

By integrating with Google Tasks, the app provides seamless synchronisation across devices, allowing users to access and manage their tasks wherever they are. Home screen widgets further enhance usability by providing instant visibility into upcoming tasks and daily priorities, reducing the friction of repeatedly opening the app throughout the day.

The result is a lightweight productivity companion designed to minimise distractions, reduce friction, and help users stay focused on completing meaningful work.

TasksLite uses Google’s OAuth authentication process to securely connect a user’s Google account with the app. Access to Google Tasks is requested only after the user grants explicit permission and is limited to the functionality required for task synchronisation. The app uses this information exclusively to enable users to view, create, update, and complete tasks across devices. TasksLite does not sell, share, or use Google user data for advertising, analytics unrelated to app functionality, or profiling purposes. Users may revoke the app’s access to their Google account at any time via their Google Account permissions settings.
